Isle of May

Artistic explorations of the natural world

Leo du Feu is a Scottish artist based among the bird and sealife of Fife on Scotland's east coast. His work is rooted in nature, landscape, wildlife and storytelling. A graduate of Edinburgh College of Art, he paints regularly from life, particularly by the sea and while travelling by train in his role as ScotRail Community Rail Champion. He works in a wide variety of media from his studio in an old restored building at Burntisland railway station. Alongside painting and printmaking, Leo takes on public and private commissions, runs workshops, gives talks and has had books featuring his work published. A keen environmental advocate, he works for several weeks each year on the Isle of May, painting on the cliffs alongside hundreds of thousands of seabirds.
